You might think that Solar powered panels are hard to use, hard to understand and difficult to set up. SolarMate have designed an easy to use and install panel which requires no special tools and can be set up in just one hour. SolarMate can provide outdoor buildings such as sheds, workshops, stables or anything else you might have with exceptional lighting and power. Regulations announced in 2005 require all outdoor electrical equipment to be installed using a qualified electrician. However, Solar panels are exempt from this regulation and therefore can save you essential extra cash in both the short term, as well as the long term. All you need is a car battery and free electricity will follow.

The SolarMate 1 will provide brightness to the equivalent of a standard 40 watt light bulb and easily aluminates a 4 X 4 metre room. Supplied complete with panel, bulb, bulb holder, switch, cable, and roof/wall mounting kit so need to incur extra expenses in getting this product put together. The recommended battery for this item would be a 12V 3.3Ah version. This should provide approximately four hours of lighting when fully charged, and will typically be fully charged in approximately nine and a half hours of exposure to light. Even suitable for our typical British weather! We highly recommend this fantastic and highly innovative product, not just 'cos it's saved us a few quid but the energy wastage it has saved from the environment!
